Req is a first-wave UK graffiti artist who started bombing walls with spray paint back in ’84, repping a style he calls spray paint Realism. In the '90s, he hit the road with Norman Cook’s Beats International, painting live on stage, and dropped beats of his own on Skint and Warp Records. He’s the name behind the dead rock legends mural on Brighton’s Albert pub. Lately, he's been vibing with his muse ‘Smudge,’ creating bold, romantic pieces that blur the line between street and surreal.
